The Communications Director's Role and Responsibilities
- Role Responsibilities are subject to change
Attends board meetings;
- Is the face and voice of The Society for television and radio interviews/segments;
- Is responsible for communicating the message as established by the board (does not have to consult about the delivery method of the message, but the content of the message has to be approved/determined by The Board);
- Is the representative of The Society when engaging with local businesses;
- Is responsible for advertising and promotion of any and all activities carried by The Society;
- Can vote during board meetings;
- Works in close collaboration with the Saskatchewan North and Saskatchewan South representatives for engaging local and provincial governments
- Is the contact person/link with other societies, clubs and organizations
- Is the face of The Society for Expo and auctions and acts as host at social events;
- Provide support to other board members as needed;
- Acts as moderator on social media;
- Act as board meeting chair on a rotational basis with the other board members (chairs 1 out every 5 meetings of The Board).
